New Jersey Plays Where's Waldo with Chris Christie

Our wandering Governor is AWOL again for the month of June, being everywhere but there for New Jersey residents. Check out the Washington Post update of our out-of-state governor.   We could post Where's Christie everyday and let the residents who elected this guy take guesses on where he's at.

The line up for his June travels
June 2nd he starts a nice little va-ca with Gov. Rick Scott. You know, the one who's pushing to restrict women's rights regarding abortion? Probably a good fit since one of the first things Christie did when he took office was to cut funding to Planned Parenthood and family planning clinics. (Clinics closed in the poorest part of the state.) So, lets watch him buddy up with Scott who thinks he knows the vagina better than those who own one.

Next Christie is off to New Hampshire for a "Tell it like it is" event. Very funny Mr Christie. While you're telling it like it is, can you tell us what happened to the Sandy funds?

Then he has to hit Iowa up because...well, you know...he has to win Iowa or he loses his chance as the contender in the big race. It's why, even though 90% of New Jersey is against gestation crates for pigs, Christie voted for them. He couldn't do that to the Iowa farmers. Wait! Whose Governor is he? Sometimes it's hard to figure who he's working for...maybe, himself? No one explains it better than Jon Stewart. 

Then it's back to New Jersey? No, Christie goes to Utah to play with Mitt Romney and the other GOPpers because what the heck would he do in New Jersey anyway? Govern? Help the victims of Sandy who are still not in their homes? Maybe do something about rising taxes? Education? Pension problems?

I guess the GOP is paying for these travels, but I really want to know if they're picking up the room and board for all the State Troopers who have to tag along? Anyone know?

Playing Politics with the Media

Its been reported that the Christie administration is doing everything it can to set the Open Public Records Act back into the dark ages. It doesn't matter what the law says...if Christie doesn't want you to see it, the laws will be damned.

The ACLU (you know, those guys who do their best to protect your civil rights?) gave Chris Christie "D" on protecting the civil liberties of New Jersey residents. Check out his report card here.

His office has been fraught with scandals from day one. Sandy Fund Scandal, Bridgegate, OPRA problems....
His tool box didn't work; by cutting all state aid he left every community in NJ scrambling to make up the loss of revenue. What did they have to do? Raise Taxes. Gov Christie left them no choice.
Then he attacked teachers, pensioners and the media who reported on his actions. Because, you know, its everyone else's fault.

He's turning into the most expensive Governors New Jersey ever had to the tune of over 8 million dollars in lawyer bills of taxpayer money.

Now Mr. Tax & Spend Christie wants to be Prez? Well, if he's elected all I can say is Welcome to the dictatorship of Christieville. Taxes are up in every town in NJ since he took office, he's attacked pensions and paydays. New Jersey is quickly becoming a state only the rich can afford.

Yes America, the God of the GOP is screwing up New Jersey in ways that will hurt us for generations to come and he's looking to be your next President.
Please get the facts. New Jersey can't afford any more Christie politics.
America can't afford it.

Property taxes? Failed! They have risen steadily.

Education? Going down hill.

Sandy relief? Dreadfully mismanaged. Thousands still homeless. $600,000. sent to a company in California to come to NJ and tell people with no money how to manage their money.

Election fear caused Christie to waste $24 million on an unnecessary Senate election. Something he once said he would NEVER do. Was it his fear of being on the ticket with Booker? Of course. Your tax dollars mean nothing to him. He's the most disgraceful WASTE & SPEND GOVERNOR in NJ history.

Sadly, the Seaside Boardwalk recently lost four blocks worth of businesses in a terrible fire. It was rebuilt this year with funds from Sandy Relief. Now Christie is promising another $15 million of that same Sandy Relief fund to help rebuild it. Did he miss the fact that thousands of New Jersey residents are STILL HOMELESS due to Sandy and his little cash cow, the Sandy Relief fund has done nothing to help them?

Chris Christie, a nightmare for New Jersey. Vote him out!

I heard our Gov turns his back on the Giants to root for the Dallas Cowboys. Bah!
He's traveling around the country now, kissing up to his base in hopes of being the next Prez. But he's still running for Gov of NJ. Playing all the options.

So does this mean if we elect him to the NJ Gov office (barf!) he'll abandon our state in 2015 to run for office of Prez in 2016??? Is he going to pull a SARAH PALIN on us?

     Christie is abusing NJ, his spending is out of control and he continues to ignore job creation, Sandy relief and help for small business. If you make him prez, he'll just bring his destruction to the white house, kiss up to his corporate cronies and blow your tax dollars.
     Consider yourself warned.

Gay Marriage a Civil Right?

In New Jersey, Governor Chris Christie vetoed the Gay Marriage bill a year ago and encouraged law makers to put it on the ballot.

Really Chris?

Let's see how that would have worked in history...
~Woman's right to vote?
~Freedom of religion?
~Discrimination for age or sex? Or pregnancy?

~Black's right to vote? Or marry? Or even ride in the front of the bus? (God bless Rosa Parks-an American hero)
~Repeal of Prohibition (okay, that one might have done all right on the ballot)

See how this goes? So why is gay marriage not just a civil right as opposed to something to be judged by others? Is it really our business who marries who?

Chris Christie's veto of the bill is nothing but discrimination. He is refusing to give the same rights to gays that he enjoys; marriage. What is his motivation for the veto? Is he drawing upon his own religious views to govern New Jersey? Does he only represent the straight people in New Jersey?

Okay enough with the questions no one seems to be giving up answers to. I think everyone should write or email or call their representatives in the New Jersey Legislature and tell them that this is the land of the free. Our forefathers came to America to free themselves from religious persecution. They didn't write "Land of the free except if you're gay" into the Constitution. It simply state; Land of the Free. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Tell your representatives to get off the fence and override Christie's veto. Gay marriage is a civil right that should never be denied because we are in the land of the free.

Is Chris Christie a bigot?

Chris Christie, Republican candidate for Governor in New Jersey, came out today and said he will do everything he can to block gay marriage in our state.
So my guess is the man doesn't believe in the basic principle of "land of the free". I guess if Christie had his way we'd amend that statement to be "land of the free except if you're gay".

Mr. Christie? If you're out there can you tell me what you base this decision on? Do you have some kind of religious opinion on gays or do you just hate them? Why is it they don't deserve the same freedoms as you, your wife and children?

Or is this just a ploy trying to drag the good old boys under your wing? Kind of like the the Palin syndrome when McCain snatched up just any old woman to try and sway the female base of the population over to this side. Too bad he didn't vet her before letting her open her mouth.

If we think back to the reason America broke away from England all those many eon's ago we can remember it was for religious freedom. Our founding father's risked everything to break away from oppressive overlords who thought they could micromanage the lives of the people. Now we have a man running for Governor who wants to impose his own views into the marriages of people living in New Jersey. What business is it of his who any of us marry? Shouldn't that be our right? Our freedom?
Chris Christie? Stay out of our marriage, our homes and our bedrooms. You don't belong here.
